Me: Does anyone know why today is such an important day?
Student: Barack Obama, the first black, well he is kind of black um, African American will be inaugurated today and the Bushes go back to Texas (smile as if she is very proud of herself).
Me: Very good job, yes the Bushes I suppose are going to Texas and the term would be biracial.
I added it to my book of the funny things kids say that I am going to publish hopefully one day.
