Snow day number 8

Teachers around here seem to be annoyed with the multitude of snow days. Annoyed may be describing it lightly. My Facebook page is covered with angry teachers. My outlook is.. what are you going to do about it. You can't change it, so enjoy it. I wish everyone could go back to their childhood and remember the excitement of an unexpected snow day and all the fun that comes with it. It is no fun to get up in cold darkness and then come home in the cold darkness anyway. Yes I know we will be going to school in the summer, but the summer is filled with outside lessons, and field days. I'm ok with that. So, for you grumpy people who are hating the multiple snow days here are some things you can enjoy: Make it a tradition. It is worth it

• Cook a special meal.
• Eat in the dining room and/or with fancy dishes.
• Order in dinner.
• Make hot chocolate.
• Play in the snow.
• Watch a favorite movie.
• Bake cookies.
• Play a family game.
• Light the fireplace.
• Check on/visit with neighbors.
• make snow cream- recipes on line
• Special art project- paint a snow scene
